Features of Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) Conductor :-
The ACSR conductor is manufactured with the galvanised steel wires as center core to give added strength and for obtaining a high strength to weight ratio. The principal advantage of ACSR conductor is high tensile strength with longer spans as well as lesser supports.

Specifications
The ACSR conductor consists of seven or more wire built up in concentric layers. The center wire or wires are of galvanised steel and the outer layers are of aluminum wires.
