Level Loop Control Trainer - Micro-controller Based Control System, Capacitance Level Sensor, Wheel Type Flow Meter, I/p Converter, Electrical Control Valve, Automatic/manual Operation

The main component of this control system consists of a micro-controller used in industry today. Target is achieved through the control logic of controller selected.

The process signal to the controller originates from a wheel type flow meter assembly from which is converted to an electronic signal. The signal from the transducer is fed to the controller. This signal is processed by the controller and displayed as a flow by the display. The output control signal from the controller is fed to a pneumatic control valve via a l TOP converter, Valve positioner having both automatic and manual facility. THe control signal can be monitored by a recorder (optional), which can also record the flow through the Rota meter orifice as calculated by the controller. The Control equipment in this loop has been chosen to demonstrate the use of both pneumatic and electronic components and incorporates three major items as follows:
a c Capacitance type Level Sensor Transmitter used to transmit a signal Proportional to the level between to p and bottom of the 'reactor vessel'.
a c I/P converter, which converts the electrical signal received from the controller to an pneumatic signal.
a c Electrical Control Valve positioned in the line.
