Liquid Glucose/Corn Syrup is a colourless, odourless, viscous, sweet syrup that is manufactured from refined corn starch. Glucose Syrup(Liquid Glucose) is made from hydrolysis of starch by means of acid/enzymes.
The standard specifications of Liquid Glucose (Corn Syrup) is as follows:
Total Dry Solids%: 80-82
Dextrose Equivalent%: 40-43
Sulphated Ash%: 0.3
pH of 50% Solution: 4.8-5.5
Free Acidity (ml of 0.1N NaOH/25 gms): 1.5-2.0
Sulphur Di-Oxide ppm: 400 Max
Colour: Slight Yellow to Colourless
