Leafy coriander seeds perform well in well drained sandy loam soils at pH value 7.0-7.5 with temperature range of 10-20°C. These are fertilized with 15-20 tonnes of compost and 60:25:25 NPK. The growth rate of the leafy coriander seed is 15-20 Kg./hect. and are planted in the area of 30 cm. rows. Preferably in late Oct. yield becomes 25-26 tonnes. Green leaves/ hec. requires in 4-5 cutting. They have the following features:
* Leaf : dark green in colour
* Late bolting hence more cuttings and more yield.
* Very good flavour & fragrance in leaves and seeds due to high
volatile oil content (0.25% V/W) and high D-linalool content
(86.89% V/W).
* Seeds : small, round, uniform and attractive in colour
* Wider adaptability
* Escape mechanism for frost
