This machine is widely used for Repairing of Electric Arc Furnace AOD, VOD, in Hot and Cold conditions. The main advantage of this machine is achieved when furnaces are repaired in Hot Condition. The time required for cooling and then again heating of the furnace along with the thermal losses are prevented, thereby lot of savings in terms of Power loss are achieved, also the availability of furnace is substantially increased.

These machines are manufactured in two sizes – D-3R and D-6R with output range of 1.0 to 2.0 m3/hr. Bigger models are available in Rotary Gunning Designs where 5 to 6 m3/hr output. Surface Refractory Gunning Machines are also used for Injection of Coke in molten metal bath for making alloy steel. These machines are also used for foamy
slag application in Steel Melting Units.
