Beryllium Copper Alloy is copper alloy with the main alloying elements of beryllium, also known as bronze beryllium. It is a senior elastic material with the best performance among copper alloys. It have a series of excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties with high strength, elasticity, hardness, fatigue strength, elastic hysteresis, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, cold resistance, high-conductive, non-magnetic, no sparking when shocked. In the atmosphere, freshwater and seawater, the corrosion resistance is excellent. Beryllium copper alloy corrosion in seawater velocity: (1.1-1.4) A 10-2mm / years. Corrosion Depth: (10.9-13.8) A 10-3mm / years. After corrosion, there is no change of the strength and elongation, so it can be maintained in the sea for more than 40 years, is a irreplaceable material for cable repeater structure in bottom of sea. When in sulfuric acid medium: in less than 80% concentration of sulfuric acid (at room temperature) the corrosion depth is 0.0012-0.1175mmi when in concentration of greater than 80%, the corrosion is slightly accelerated.
