MINISTER OF MINES GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
|
Message |
I am glad to know that the 9th International Mining & Machinery Exhibition (IMME’08) is being conducted from 5th-8th November, 2008 at Salt Lake Stadium Grounds, Kolkata (INDIA).
India is endowed with significant mineral resources and a flourishing mining industry. India’s mining industry is expected to touch over $30 billion accounting for about 2.5 per cent of the GDP in the next four years. With the announcement of National Mineral Policy 2008 the Indian Government
has shown strong commitment for developing a conducive regulatory framework and attracting significant investment in exploration, mine development, zero waste mining and infrastructure, adopting state-of-the-art technology and modern methods like aerial reconnaissance or geophysical surveys. The exhibition will provide an ideal platform to exhibitors, buyers and delegates for close interaction. |
I wish the event a grand success.
