Re: How to start a gutka factory?

Hi

Considering the profits involved in the business starting a gutkha factory can turn out to be the best decision; however you need to have a through understanding of various factors like
Regulations: government have imposed heavy excise duty on the gutkha like if you are launching a 1 Rs. guthkha in the market for every machine you have in your factory you have to pay 25 Lakhs/machine/month and it increses considerably to 2 Rs and 5 rs Gutkha.
Manufacturing: Guthkha manufacturing involves compound (Pan masala or guthkha compound made from various types of Indian attars)you need to first develop your own compound and do a test marketing
i would suggest reading of Tobacco today magazine which is dedicated to gutkha industry.

And last but not the least you need to weigh the risk involved as you never know when ramados will sign on a paper to seal the fate of people like us who are involved with guthkha industry.

Regards,
abhijeet

Dear mr. sanjeev

almost all are aware what havoc gutka creates in one's life. i feel personally that you should have some ethical value in business and keep away from this product at least for the sake of humanity. a sincere request, please keep away from this product which destroys generations together.

Re: How to start a gutka factory?

Who thinks about ethics before starting a business ? What about those who are already manufacturing ? Or the advertisers who are promoting these products ? Do the spurious products manufacturer thinks once, before making it ? Nobody cares, except the user if he/she wishes to consume knowing well about its consequences.

Re: Re: How to start a gutka factory?

rightly said. people who are likeminded do go ahead with any type of business. those who are already in this business also do not think and somebody wants to add in. even the government keeps a blind eye as it earns hefty taxes out of this. SO WHO IS TO BLAME. anyway god help us.
