TOPIC : Exports from J&K
I want to export certain items from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). I have heard that there are certain formalities to be met while exporting from this state...but I'm not too sure. Please help me what is the procedure to be followed. Would also like to know if the procedures are similar to those that are applicable to the rest of the states in the country?

To start export business from any part of India following formalities has to be carried out :-
Obtain IEC number, Registration with respective Export Promotion council.
Depending upon the product, and type of business you wish to carry out. You may also required to be registered Sales Tax authorities for availing exemption on taxes.
