Re: Re: how to start export & its requirements for automotive components
Dear Mr Sharma,
It is a good idea of exporting Auto parts and especially from a place like yours (Jalandhar, India), there is a good prospect.
You have to understand first what type of work you are doing and what is the size of your company as compared to your customer's size and specialization. For dealing with major International organization, you need to have a good knowledge of International standards like ISO90xx, ISO14000 and SEMTECH ETC. You need the basic knowledge and use of SPC, MSDS, tractability and score of other items before any major buyer would even audit your set up for exports.
It is very risky to start the export business without having reasonable knowledge of basic auditing and supply chain qualification process. I read a lot about Chinese failure though I still believe their system are few years ahead of what we have in India.
Prepare and go ahead with the venture. Best wishes.
Om Trehan

Re: how to start export & its requirements for automotive components
you require IEC Code for Export-Import. For this you require AAyat - Niryat Form.
You fill this & You require your SWIFT Code For remittance of money. This is to be alloted by your banker.
For export benefits you contact with your banker. He will suggest you.
You also take RCMC (Registration cum membership certificate) for taking export benefits. You can get this from FIEO.
