Re: How to give a nice follow up
Follow - up or effective communication is the key to success of any business.
Just send polite reminders to parties, mentioning on the header as request - 1, request -2 and so on.
You can also call back if necessary.
All the best

Re: Re: How to give a nice follow up
Nice to hear from you in the Discussion forum after a long lull. Do you know Tradeindia has also come up with a very interactive news portal (http://smetimes.tradeindia.com).
You can discuss every single news report by going to the bottom of the news report and clicking on 'Write a message' link. There is even no need to log in and that stuff.
They even take take news from exporters like you and me. All you need to do is send the press release to newsdesk@tradeindia.com
See you at SME Times discussion forum too.

Re: Re: How to give a nice follow up
Offer them special incentives - for example offer them some kind of a bonus for volume buying, stay in touch with your customer by sending them greetings especially on Christmas or New Year if they are in the western world and are Christians. You can also ask them if there is something they didn't like about your product. Tell them that you value them as a customer and will be happy to address any concerns or questions they might have.

Re: How to give a nice follow up
This is one question that all of people work as a foreign seller who must be paid more attention on it. Keep greetings is needed, but sometimes, we need to a bit lucky.
Although i get customer's inquiry, but get no reply always. Very disappointed.
Now i know this is one common question. so just do what you should do.

Re: Re: How to give a nice follow up
Mailing polite reminders is a very good suggestion, and I feel it will be more effective if important variants are highlighted with each follow up request.
eg. In case one is following up an quotation highlighting following with every request
-Validity of offer (indicating the dates till when the terms & conditions are valid)
-Availability
-Any new third party approval obtained for the product or service during the follow up period
-Any event , trade fair that your company is participating in
Or any information /development relevant to the customer.
