Responding to this potential of the sugar industry, Nexgen Exhibitions Pvt Limited, an ISO 9001:2000 accredited company presented Sugarasia at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi India from 2nd July to 4th July 2009. It directly benefited thousands of sugar cane cultivators and the related sugar and ethanol industries throughout the country. The event greatly benefited the sugar cane ethanol supply chain, which includes research into biotechnology for new sugar cane varieties, input and equipment suppliers, sugar cane growers, trading companies, industrial businesses, logistics and a variety of service providers. The event saw the coming together of the entrepreneurs, technocrats, agriculture scientists, industry leaders and senior government officials from central and state governments as well as eminent experts from overseas who have wide experience on the industry.

It turned out to be a complete sugar industry exposition in itself , as the event happened to be first of it’s kind in the country, that showcased complete range of equipments based on cutting edge technology for the sugar and it’s down stream industry. This coupled with being an exclusive platform for sharing thoughts and experience on the sugar industry, highlighting opportunities in the sugar sector. The event had it’s due significance with exhibitors from India, China South Africa and France show displayed their competitive products for sugar, ethanol and energy productions as well as products for minimization of environmental risks.
Serious business deliberations took place at the expo and number of business deals have entered into during the three days of the event.

While the exhibition happened to be complete in itself. Making it well accomplished were the
captains of the sugar industry , who graced the event by taking in opportunity about the new
products and technologies, for the sugar industry, as they went across the display stalls.

Tradeindia's participation at the international show proved to be a fruitful endeavour. A large number of visitors gathered at the Tradeindia booth to know about its products and services. They expressed their gratitude in being able to collect valuable information on Indian manufacturers, exporters, importers, amongst others via Tradeindia CD Roms. These CD Roms opened the gateway, facilitating them to source quality products and services from reliable Indian suppliers related to the user industry. The big Tradeindia yellow bags, which were seen carried by most of the visitors, dazzled the venue with their yellowish radiance. In a nutshell, the show turned out to be an effective platform for tradeindia.com to promote the Indian trading community listed in its portal.
