SmartCards Expo 2009 provided the most effective Forum to smart card vendors, system integrators, professionals, technocrats, Academia and most importantly, Government and private user agencies.

Smart card applications, in conjunction with Mobile Communications, Biometrics, RFID, e-Security and e-Payments are fast penetrating in a variety of socio-economic spheres and Regions. These technologies are rapidly proliferating into newer application areas in the country i.e. ID including National ID, Access Control, Driving Licence and Vehicle Registration, e-Passport, Retail, Loyalty, Banking and Finance, Microfinance, Public Distribution System, Insurance, Close User Group Applications, Healthcare, Hospital management, Transport, Transit and Fare Collection, Toll Collection and many more applications. |

| In 2009 around 196 exhibitors participated out of which 85 were Indian and 111 were the foriegn exhibitors.As for the visitors ,there were about 6,739 Business visitors out of which 5,841 were Indian and the rest 898 were from the foreign market. |

| The show provided tradeindia.com a unique opportunity to exhibit its products and services and promote them amongst the participants and visitors from all over the globe. The participants & visitors came to know of tradeindia.com's services and the vital role it is playing in the growing India's international trade. Tradeindia representatives distributed CD Roms containing information on the Indian trading community comprising of manufacturers, exporters, importers and service providers to the visitors. The latter expressed their gratitude at the same time appreciating that the information would help them source products from the various parts of India easily. The spacious Tradeindia yellow bags were readily accepted by the visitors, and were carried all across the venue, catching the onlookers' attention.
