Indian International Jewellery Show 2007 took place in Mumbai from August 30th - September 3' 2007. Organised by Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, the 24th edition of the IIJS' 2007 was a premier b2b gems & jewellery trade show. The show acted as an ideal platform for overseas buyers and importers to interact with the Indian companies engaged into gems & jewellery.
The show offered global networking opportunities to Indian manufacturing, exporting and retailing companies. It aimed at strengthening business ties amongst different segments of gems & jewellery sector via conducting buyers-sellers meet, exhibiting the best crafted jewellery, exchange of ideas on technical and manufacturing fronts, etc.
Over the years, the show has matured to a level of global recognition and standards.The five day event brought together under one roof the key players of the industry from every corner of the country.

| In all, around 700 gems & jewellery manufacturing companies participated at the show who showcased the widest range of products and the best of the modern & traditional jewellery. The range of jewellery at display included Silver Jewellery, Diamond Jewellery, Couture Jewellery, Loose Diamonds, Traditional Jewellery, Designer Jewellery, Gemstone Jewellery, Gold & Platinum Jewellery, Machinery & Accessories, jewellery education institutes, publications and web portals.
The seminar sessions at IIJS 2007 were designed on the lines of a central theme--21st Century Business Retailing. The key sessions provided insights into the business of retailing & vital aspects of running a jewellery business. Apart from being a treasure house of knowledge, the Seminar Spectrum witnessed the largest gathering of leading gems & Jewellery professionals under one roof. Providing global networking opportunities, the sessions witnessed experts from all over the world addressing and focusing on topics like Success Through Market Specialization, Hallmarking, Developing Creative Business Techniques, Diamond Updates, Luxury Retailing, Re-faceting the Indian Industry, and Selling On-line to mention a few. The saturday sessions had been designed specially for Luxury Retailing. |

IIJS acted as the unique networking platform for the gems and jewellery trading fraternity. The show had a high attendance of more than 25,000 retailers, wholesalers, buyers, importers, manufacturers amongst others over its five-day duration.
Tradeindia's participation at the show generated immense response from the visiting buyers. The buyers readily accepted the CD Roms in order to gain information on key players of the Indian gems and jewellery industry listed at tradeindia.com. As usual, our aim has been to disseminate as much information as possible on the Indian exim community amongst prospective buyers, and like every other show, the IIJS 2007 proved to be an effective platform in serving our purpose. The Tradeindia yellow promotional bags, distributed among the buyers, were a cynosure of all eyes. They were seen carried by the visitors on all the five days of the show across the exhibition complex.
