Fluid Bed Dryer These dryers have a bed a solid particles which are fluidized by passing a stream of air or gas upward through a specially perforated sheet. The upward velocity of air is so maintained so as to slightly lifts the solid particles and set thim in motion. This motion can be utilized to bring about mixing as well as forward moment of the solid. The air organ is heated and heat is utilized to dry the solid. Fines get agglomerated to large particle ls this providing large size granules.

Rotary Atomizer This one is also rotating at high speed. At the end of the shaft one perforated disc is provided in which liquid is being splashed toward the chamber and coming in to the contact of hot air, resulting in dry powder.

Spin Flash Dryer A Spin Flash Dryer produces powder from feed which is viscous or gelatinous in nature, paste or filter cake. The two step process involves disintegration of the feed and drying of disintegrated feed. Depending up on the nature of the feed material. The disintegrated material is brought in contact with the hot drying media which dries the particles and also pneumatically conveys it for separation in a cyclone or bag filter.
