Honey Comb Filter is composed mainly of silicon carbide or of metallic silicon and silicon carbide; the filter being formed by bonding a plurality of honeycomb segments each of which has a plurality of through-holes being partitioned by porous partition walls. The filter is plugged alternately at the exhaust gas inlet face and exhaust gas outlet face of honeycomb segments.
