TEMPERATURE CORRECTION FACTOR The Recommended Maximum Working Pressure rating given in Table-I are at a temperature of 20 o C. Where Hoses are required to operate at a temperature above 20 o C, a correction factor should be applied to the specified working pressure of the selected Hose. Example A 50 NB Hose is required for a temerature of 300 o C. and working at 17kg/cm 2 . The specified pressure for 50 NB single braid hose as per Table-I is 28kg/cm 2 . The correction factor at 300 o C is 0.61. Hence the working pressure permissible is 28 x 0.61=17.08 kg/cm 2 . This
