POVIDONE PLUS (Microbicidal Topical Solution)
Composition:
Povidone-lodine IP 10% w/v
(Available lodine 1%)
Directions for use:
Use undiluted for pre-operative preparation of skin and dilute 1:1 for vaginal douche and musous memebrane. Allow to dry prior to applicaiton of dressing, drape and cast. Avoid application to large areas of broken skin. Contraindicated in cases of known lodine sensitivity. As directed by Physician and Surgeon.
POVIDONE PLUS is antiseptic solution virtually non-staining and non-irritating to skin. It has a rapid and prolonged Germicidal action against a wide spectrum of pathogenic organisms both Gram+ve and Gram-ve bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses including HIV viruses. Its microbicidal activity is retained even in the blood, pus and serum. It has goet colour indicator i.e. as long as golden brown colour remains, its germicidal action persists. It contains special stabilizers which ensures long shelf life and emollients to take care of your skin.
Application
Pre and Post-Operative surgical skin antisepsis.
Treatment of Bacterial, fungal, infections of nasal and vaginal mucosa. Use prophelactically in causalty procedures against infection of bruns, abrasions, lacerations and wounds.
